Our Story
MegaTheron Trading CC was born from Christoph Theron, who after being retrenched from an Upholstery company in 2000 started his own business with only a red toolbox and compressor in his possession, and named the company Cover-Mate Upholstery, from which he fed and raised his family as the primary source of income. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Pick’s Disease (Frontal Lobe Dementia) in 2012 and his work started deteriorating as the disease progressed and was deemed unfit for further work and had to be placed in a care facility.
The business unfortunately came to a standstill until his eldest son J-P Theron decided to start taking on small upholstery jobs as a sideline in 2019 in order to feed his family, using the skills his father taught him from a young age, while helping out in his father’s workshop, and this reignited the passion for upholstery. In 2021, J-P and his wife decided to fully pursue the business and pick up where their father had left it.

MegaTheron Trading CC’s core business is upholstery. The refurbishment, repair and restoring of old furniture to look brand new, as well as the manufacturing of new furniture to the specifications of our client’s. We take pride in offering quality products and excellent service to every client.
